Getting there……
It has been a long, patient wait to get occupation of our new High Street property. We closed our previous location back at the beginning of September so we definitely feel the absence of customers and of trade.
When we found our new location back in February sadly it had not been occupied for several years and needed some special attention on the exterior before we would even get close to setting dates or getting our hands on any keys.
The property we will soon be moving in to also needs quite a bit of attention on the inside and that is solely up to us to complete. A little upgrade here and a lick of paint there will do the world of good as the space is truly incredible. Those high ceilings give greater options for colour and design as well as the original layout giving inspiration to setting up the social space theme.
The space…..
The current division of space creates the perfect space for the addition of The Tavern Bar. An idea not originally incorporated because we had not yet been inspired by that vision. Our bar will create a more immersive feel to the social space because it will have a matching aesthetic. With much less wasted space in the layout of the store we are able to provide a cohesive layout as we bridge our style between Gothic shop space and Fantasy Tavern.
We haven’t got keys in hand just yet but over the past six months we have continued to invest in stock and have also purchased flooring and aesthetic accessories that will really bring our space to life.
The Tavern is to be an enjoyable, practical assembly space but we also want it to be an exemplary venue that will be an enviable benchmark for other similar spaces. Ultimately we want to become the prominent leader in community spaces in Irvine.
